         We are artists who use Gourds for our canvas

         There are many 'Patches' across Arizona.  

        Our Patch meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month. 

       We  Meet  at 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. the second Wednesday of the month
        Pioneer RV Park, 36408 N Black Canyon Hwy, Phoenix.

Greetings! Many of you probably have plans to attend the Gourd Extravaganza (GEX) this year. I know Dar has lined up a wonderful selection of instructors and classes. The New Mexico Gourd Society (NMGS) has teamed up with the Gourd Extravaganza and will be hosting a concurrent Art from the Vine (AFTV) gourd art gallery show and sale. This show will held concurrently with the GEX and will also be in the Simms Building in downtown Albuquerque.   NMGS would like to encourage each of you to participate in the Art from the Vine show by entering your gourd art.  The entry form has been attached. Important deadlines for the AFTV show include: September 1, 2014 - Photos of your entries and entry forms are due.  We would appreciate photos with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi but any photo of your work is acceptable.  September 15, 2014 - Notification of results from judging.  Don't let this discourage you from entering your work.  Remember - no guts, no glory!  October 5, 2014 - Receipt of mailed gourd entries received by NMGS October 7, 2014 - Art work delivered to the Simms Building October 10, 2014 - Art from the Vine reception, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM October 11-18, 2014 - Art from the Vine show and sale October 19, 2014 - Pick up gourd art from the Simms Building between 10 AM and 3 PM.
